About the work

Pour ce projet, j’ai choisi une caméra offrant une vue sur l’océan, et plus précisément une caméra en mouvement, que je trouve plus intéressante qu’une image statique. Concernant le son, j’ai souhaité expérimenter ce médium que je n’avais encore jamais vraiment exploré. Je voulais créer un audio en lien avec le thème de la caméra, sans être trop littéral, afin de faire émerger une nouvelle réalité. J’ai ainsi enregistré différents sons dans une ambiance ASMR, puis je les ai superposés pour obtenir une composition sonore inspirée de l’océan.

For this project I chose a camera with ocean view, more specifically my choice fell on camera with motion since I find more interesting that just a static image. For the sound I wanted to experiment with sounds since I never really worked with that media, I also wanted to make an audio that would match the camera theme but not being too obvious so it would create a new reality. I recorded different sounds in ASMR vibe and later one layered them on top of each other to get this ocean inspired audio.

About the artist

Evguenia est une jeune artiste actuellement étudiante à l’École des Beaux-Arts de Caen. Très inspirée par les textures, les matériaux et la dimension tactile des objets, elle est également profondément passionnée par l’univers du bijou. On retrouve ainsi souvent une dimension décorative dans son travail, où elle cherche à mêler les beaux-arts et les arts décoratifs afin de créer des objets d’art.

Evguenia is a young artist who is currently studding in the school of fine arts in Caen. Really inspired and interested in textures materials and tactile side of objects, she is also very passionate by the jewellery world, so we often find some decorative side in her work since she tries to combine fine arts with decorative arts to create objects of art.
