About the work
Our attention has been drawn by this very camera in Poland, because of its bad resolution.
Indeed, the poor quality of the camera and the way it is placed makes it hard for the viewer to be sure of what he is looking at.
We thought it was an interesting way to attract the viewer’s attention, leaving a lot of space for imagination.
The audio has been created to emphasize this feeling of incomprehension, mixing different kinds of sounds, natural ones, and artificial ones, from a lot of different places.
The chosen sounds are quite smooth to put the viewer in a kind of meditative state, or to be more specific, to create a calm atmosphere while looking at these foggy and vibrant images.
The diversity of imaginations and interpretations is something that was interesting for all four of us.
As future artists, it is truly important to considerate the fact that there are as many interpretations of a thing as there are people on Earth.
Notre attention s’est rapidement portée sur une camera de Pologne, nous avons été attirés par sa très mauvaise résolution.
En effet, la qualité médiocre et l’orientation de cette camera fait qu’il est difficile pour le spectateur d’identifier avec précision ce qu’il voit.
Nous avons pensé que c’était une façon intéressante d’attirer l’attention du spectateur, tout en laissant beaucoup de place à l’imaginaire.
La piste audio a été crée afin de renforcer ce sentiment d’incompréhension en mélangeant différents types de son, certains naturels, certains artificiels, issu de différents espaces.
Les sons sélectionnés sont assez doux afin de plonger le spectateur dans un espèce d’état méditatif, ou plus précisément, afin de créer une atmosphère paisible face aux images brumeuses et vibrantes. La diversité des imaginaires et des interprétations est un sujet qui nous a tous les quatre intéressés.
En tant que futurs artistes, il est très important de considérer les faits qu’il existe autant d’interprétations d’une même chose qu’il y a d’individus sur Terre.
